Support Angie's battle with Neuroendocrine cancer

Hi everyone! This is Angie Konrath Lazo. She’s a mom, a wife, a musician, a runner, and my sister. She’s a pharmacy oncology technician and has been helping patients cope with cancer for sixteen years. Now, she’s on the other side of the table and has recently been diagnosed with cancer. I’ve started this GoFundMe to help her with her treatment and to get her back on the road to recovery.

After her wedding this April, Angie got back test results from a pap smear that discovered precancerous cells. She had a partial hysterectomy in July, where they also removed lymph nodes. Pathology results after her surgery led to a PET scan and a diagnosis of metastatic neuroendocrine neoplasm in her ileum. NET (neuroendocrine cancer) is rare, but treatable, and Angie is a good candidate for treatment because she’s young.

Angie is currently taking a drug to stop tumor growth and will be scheduling another surgery soon to remove the other tumors. She’s still recovering from the first surgery and just returned to work, but it’s not been easy. Luckily, she has a supportive family and a great team taking care of her.

I’m asking for help supporting Angie with out-of-pocket expenses and further treatment. Cancer sucks, and navigating the healthcare system is no fun, so I want to help Angie as much as possible.
