Support Animals of Appalachia's New Community Space
Donation protected
We are Animals of Appalachia, a local, non-profit, exotic animal rescue. We are raising money for our first public location. Since March of 2024 we have been rescuing exotic animals. Some of these animals are unique and interesting. We would love to share them with our community but have no way of allowing people to come to us.
We have done several community events to showcase our animals and have received great feedback and a want for more. Having a permanent place for the public to come and view our animals and have an opportunity to interact with some of them and learn more about the animals we rescue will allow us to continue rescuing these amazing critters.
We are based in the Stoney Creek community in Northeast Tennessee and would love to be able to stay in the community where we have lived our whole lives. We love being able to give back to this community and working with the people in and around it. We want a location where we can provide education classes to those that wish to learn more about our area and the animals in it as well as the exotic animals we rescue. We also want to provide unique experiences not found at other animal experiences such as Duck Yoga and animal dance parties.
We want to be able to host community events, provide animal education programs, and allow the public to view our amazing critters. Having a public space will allow us to do these things and more. We have already mentioned a couple of the special events we want to provide, but there is so much more we want to do. We want our space to be available for parties, family gatherings, weddings, or any event that may need a public space that is animal centric. Animals are our passion, but sharing our knowledge of those animals and providing a safe and secure place for those animals drives our lives.
What do we need from you? The easy answer is funds. You can donate to this fund to help us reach our goals. Other ways to help include sharing this campaign, spreading the word about AoA and our efforts, or if you or someone you know has land or a building that they are willing to donate to AoA that would help us reach our goals.
What do we need? Land that is 2 or more acres and mostly flat. We are happy to develop the land if needed, however the more ready the land is the faster we can get started. A building that is 2-5,000sqft. A warehouse type building would suit us best but an office space building could be adapted to fit our needs. We would need a garage door to move enclosures and animals in and out.
Thank you for reading this far. We would love for you to partner with us to help bring our dreams to life and provide an awesome space for our community.
