Support Anna's Parents in Their Time of Need

Hello!

My name is Anna Wester and I am doing this GoFundMe on behalf of my parents.

Please take a moment to read their story. My parents deserve the world, and this is something that would enrich their lives greatly.

My dad has Parkinson's and was diagnosed in 2015. He received the DBS (Deep Brain Stimulator) in 2018 and although it has been somewhat beneficial, along with medications to help him, unfortunately, these last few years the disease has been progressing.

Last year he was in and out of the hospital, with September being the longest stay of two weeks. He had pneumonia from aspiration in his lungs and received a feeding tube to avoid that from happening again.

Since then, it seems like it's been one thing after another. His only brother and his manager passed away last year, and he's been requiring more assistance in taking care of himself, mobility aids, etc.

My mom has been such an amazing caretaker of him and his advocate for him the whole time. They've been married going on 45 years this year.

As of last week (it's 3-12-25 as of the time I'm writing this), he's been placed on hospice... Though it's not something we were hoping for, unfortunately, it's what things have come to.
