Support Annual Retreat for a Buddhist Monk
Donation protected
Hello,
Aspiring to undertake retreat this summer, I’m passing the offering bowl in order to raise a portion of my transportation, housing and food costs.
The first leg of retreat entails a 10-day Dorsem practice at Tashi Choling in Ashland, Oregon. The late Gyatrul Rinpoche was a principal teacher and it’s important to give a hand with the preparation of his stupa. For the past 30 years, I’ve frequently attended Dorsem.
I’ve a 100-day retreat at Tarpa in Vershire, Vermont to continue my meditation practice. While my day to day practice is solitary, I will, however, join my nearby Mangala Shri Bhuti sangha for tsoks, work days and for our annual Sangdrup and Mahamudra programs with my root teacher, Dzigar Kongtrul Rinpoche. This will be my third summer retreating in Vershire and I greatly anticipate the practice, being with sangha, and once again receiving teachings from and practicing with Rinpoche.
I ordained 18 years ago. Today service includes leading online dharma practices and study courses. I reside in a low-income senior housing unit in a beautiful Florida location. When not on my cushion, or gardening with my fellow housemates, or in a Zoom class, you might see me zooming around town on my e-Trike. It was my 80th birthday gift from my children.
Should you wish to have any merit of this retreat dedicated to a person(s), please let me know and I'll do so.
If you care to offer support for my retreat, my heartfelt thanks to you. Your name will be on my daily prayer list.
With appreciation,
