On February 21, 2025, my sister, Dr. Anokhi Shah, was in a serious car accident that left her with multiple injuries, including spinal fractures, several broken bones and a brain injury. A drunk driver went into oncoming traffic and hit her car head on.

She has spent two weeks in the ICU, facing multiple surgeries and an incredibly long and difficult road to recovery.

Anokhi is not just my sister—she is a brilliant doctor, a dedicated friend, and an incredible human being who has already made a huge impact on the world. She has dedicated her medical training to working in a free clinic to help those who are often left behind. She also started a community garden and offered the food grown there to her patients. She is strong, determined, and fighting every single day to heal.

Why We Need Your Help

As she begins the long process of recovery, our family is facing significant medical, travel, and rehabilitation expenses. While we are doing everything we can, the costs of her care—including hospital stays, specialized neurorehabilitation, physical therapy, and travel between hospitals—will quickly add up.
