Support Anthony Jr's Family After Tragic Loss

Hello,

As I sit here and write this please know that my heart is heavy. My name is Kyera Grant and I am writing this on the behalf of my step father and his family.

On June 25th 2024 him and the mother of his children received the worst call that no parent should endure.

Their first born son Anthony Wayne Simmons Jr was ambushed and attacked while sitting in his car at an apartment complex by 3 now known male figures. All teenagers and the youngest at just 16 years old.

Jr was a kind and ambitious young man with big dreams for his future. He had just graduated and received his high diploma just 18 days prior to this disaster.

He worked a full time job, had just enrolled in cdl classes, along with expressing and researching his interest in breeding dogs, studying and learning music where he had dreams of becoming a producer, he enjoyed working out, staying busy and had even also launched his own clothing brands known as stack or starve and risktaker clothing.

Jr had a great relationship with his family, his peers and his high school sweetheart who had just left the city days prior for the navy.

The family spent days in and out the hospital by his side daily hoping and praying he would over come the multiple gunshot wounds he suffered and endured. He spent 11 crucial days in icu on a ventilator. His body fought so hard to wake up, to move, to speak and etc. Despite his fighting spirit one gunshot wound to the head was too much for his young soul to overcome.

He was pronounced dead on July 5th a few minutes past 7pm.

He lost his life by a senseless act of violence.

Enduring this tragedy the money donated will be to help with relocating for the family, counseling, creating a scholarship in remembrance and allowing the family time heal and find peace.

Jr will always be remembered for his kindness and ambition. He leaves behind 3 siblings, his parents, many many family members and friends.
