Support Antonia Jenaè's Vision for South Florida Creatives

Donation protected
Hi! My name is Antonia Jenaè! You may know me from the South Florida poetry/music scene or you may know me from my time on the road with Joss Stone. But however you know me, you KNOW that I am a Creative!

I am married to a wonderful man named Sean Woods. You may know him for the work he has done with Roberta Flack, Maxwell, D'Angelo, H.E.R., and Beyoncè. He is known in the music Industry as the Best Drum Tech in the WORLD!

So let me tell you a little about what my husband, Sean and I are doing! When I started on my journey as a backing vocalist, there was only one type of venue for singer/songwriters/musicians to express themselves creatively in South Florida and that was on the open mic poetry scene. Since that time, musicians have been allowed in those spaces but rarely get a chance to jam out and create together. We want to curate these type events and spaces. We know that South Florida has so much untapped talent that with the help of Antonia Jenaè's on Sunrise and Konchus Collective, LLC (Sean Woods) we will be the space and place where people can come get an education, create music, and art and even learn to play chess!

Antonia Jenaè's on Sunrise is a personal service based business that will offer individual and group self-improvement classes that will teach healthy lifestyle techniques as well as songwriting, vocal lessons and Artist Development.
Konchus Collective, LLC will teach stage etiquette and how to become a Stage technician /Backline Technician and how to get and keep the gigs! Through this education process there are employment opportunity and job placement in the music industry.

Vocal Lessons and Artist Development will be a key component as well as hold space for Jam sessions and Songwriting camps through the programming of the No Cover Society. We have already started building the songwriting camps with a small group of poets and songwriting musicians.

Sean and I have been blessed with becoming Stewards over a building that is in a perfect location for the Creative Community we are building. We reached out to the owners and they have seen our vision for this space. The building located at 2881-2889 W Sunrise Blvd. Fort Lauderdale, Fl was the original location for DM Burch Books and it was the first Black Bookstore in Broward County. I used to frequent there with my father who is an avid reader and history major. So, it was only right that we continue the community building Mr. and Mrs. Burch started in the late 80's.

We know that "many hands make light work." We know that we have poured our entire soul and vision into the project and we are now in the stage where we have to ask for help to see the vision through.

The monies raised will help us to take full Stewardship of the building as well as buy the necessary equipment to build the business out to be successful. And for that we NEED YOUR HELP!

No gift is too small! Thank you in advance!
