Support Appalachian Station's Recovery from Flooding
Donation protected
I'm Crazy Wolf, and recently Helene paid us a visit up here in Appalachia. There was damage both great and small and one of the Appalachian Trail Hostels (I occasionally stay at) was hit hard. The Appalachian Station (Formerly known as The Station @ 19e.)
J.D. and Tanya Westerman recently took over operations there and are doing a stellar job. Currently they are without power, phone, or internet but the worst blow was the flooding, which wiped out their entire parking lot, and with that their source of income.
While they are still open to receive and care for long distance hikers, on the Appalachian Trail (hikers can still access them) the community at large has lost access without a road to them and a parking lot.
While many have suffered during this hurricane, we are asking for what help you might send, to get them up to full operation again.
Thank you for your attention to this and God Bless you all.
