Help Archer Fight T-cell lymphoblastic Leukemia
Donation protected
T-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia is ruthless! Earlier this week, we received heartbreaking news we were never expecting to hear. The aggressive chemo Archer has been on is no longer working. He went from being in a hopeful remission and heading towards a bone marrow transplant to fluid building back into his chest from the cancer coming back. As of right now, that was the only aggressive chemo treatment out there for him and his cancer is too aggressive to cure. There is nothing else they can do for him at USA. Last minute on 02/21, Archer was air lifted to UMMC in Jackson, Ms. Originally, this is where we planned to go for his bone marrow transplant. We all want to continue to fight this instead of taking no cure for an answer. They just placed another chest tube in to drain his fluid before it collapses his lungs again and he will start a new treatment plan after the weekend. We thought our baby was at the end of this and we would be home soon but that's no longer the case. We are now scared for our sweet baby boys life. We just want our healthy baby home walking, eating, and talking again but cancer took that from us. Please continue to pray for our little man. He needs it now more than ever. #ArcherStrong
I, Kenzie Mixon, have put together this fundraiser for my dear friends, Tammy and Rob Landstreet, for their sweet 2-year-old baby boy, Archer Clyde. I want to share their story and reach out to the public for your help, prayers, and support.
Archer has struggled with consistent upper respiratory infections for months, chronic ear infections, and constantly getting sick back to back. Unfortunately, he was dismissed/overlooked by the pediatricians many times. He had been sick again this past week, this time after days of little eating, drinking, discomfort, and pure exhaustion. Sunday night, Tammy felt the need to bring her son to the ER for fluids and was determined to look for answers. After almost being discharged, Tammy asked for a full workup on her baby; she felt in her heart something just wasn’t right! A scan indicated Archer had developed pneumonia in his left lung. He was admitted and put on oxygen and antibiotics for the next 5 days. He seemed to be getting better based on his vitals, oxygen levels, and overall feeling better! He spent the night off oxygen, and they planned to be discharged the next day!
After waiting for one last scan, results came back alarming. Archer's lungs took a turn for the worse, and his left lung had collapsed! He was rushed to the PICU at USA hospital to find his chest filled with fluid, putting pressure on his lung, and it was determined he’d need chest tubes to help recover his lungs. The next morning, he went into surgery only to find he has been diagnosed with lymphoma and fluid on his heart. Every parent's worst nightmare has become Tammy’s reality, all while being 25 weeks pregnant with her 3rd child due in April and a 4-year-old at home. We are currently unsure of how long they will have to stay at the children’s hospital. Tammy is a locally loved baker of Vancleave and the Mississippi Gulf Coast, and unfortunately, has had to cancel her orders to be with her baby. We all know how hard times are right now with bills and this economy; everyone is struggling. If you find it in your heart to donate to help fund this sweet family in this difficult time, it would be greatly appreciated. Any amount helps! If you aren’t able to financially help, please share and pray for the best possible outcome!
Any donations will go towards future medical expenses that aren’t covered by insurance, bills/financial relief, food, travel and lodging expenses, missed time from work, and support for their other children preparing for their newborn in a few short months.
Other places to donate are Cashapp and Venmo.
