Support Archive Scanning

A vast amount of work has already taken place on getting the Backstage Heritage Collection up and running, by web designer Jon Primrose, based in Exeter. It's now part of the Archive section at Theatrecrafts.com, and consists of the Strand Archive documents, along with a few hundred additional documents and photos relating to other manufacturers. We still have thousands of documents to scan, and, most importantly, hundreds of copies of Tabs, Lights and Cue to index into our system, so that every mention of a piece of equipment, venue, show or person appears in the archive on the relevant page. It's a very powerful system, the more links we can make, the more useful the information will be.

So we need funding to cover the costs of getting this indexing and scanning done - it's been done by volunteers so far, but needs an injection of energy that payment for work can bring.
