Hello, I'm Jeff and the photo of the beautiful dog is my best friend Argos who had to have emergency surgery to remove his gall bladder last Monday, March 24, 2025. While he IS recovering, the process has been slower than expected. He has been at Angell Animal Hospital in Jamaica Plain, MA for the last week and unfortunately my funds have run out. He is still not eating and he can't keep water down, but this isn't entirely abnormal for the procedure that he had. His extremely elevated liver enzyme levels have come down significantly, as well as his elevated bilirubin levels. I go visit him every day and he has been in better spirits each day, but he still has some recovery ahead of him. The vets at Angell have been amazing, from the doctor who performed his surgery to the doctors who are tending to Argos day by day (and all of the other staff have been great as well). They tell me if my funds run out that I can try to take him home, but without him eating or being able to keep water down (he has regurgitation still) his chances of recovering with me at home are much more slim than if he could stay at the hospital a few more days. Please consider donating to help out my buddy, who has come so far and just needs a couple more days (hopefully) at the hospital. Thank you!
