Support Aria’s Battle Against Childhood Leukemia

Two months before her twelfth birthday, Ariadna (Aria) Scheffler was diagnosed with leukemia. We are raising funds to help alleviate the financial stress associated with this diagnosis, so Aria’s family can focus their time and energy on her treatment. 100% of the funds our community raises will be used by Aria’s parents to cover her medical bills and expenses related to her care.

On June 21st, 2022 Aria was admitted to Oishei Children’s Hospital in Buffalo, NY where she was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia. She has since had a bone marrow biopsy, started chemotherapy, and undergone several lumbar puncture procedures. Aria’s doctors anticipate she will need a three month hospital stay with chemotherapy treatments and a bone marrow transplant. Health insurance will not cover all the costs, which as you can imagine, will be considerable.

Aria is a creative and kind girl. She is an avid reader of the Stranger Things novels, a big fan of horror movies, and enjoys softball. She is player number 13 on the Warsaw Softball League, as an outfielder in the 12 and under division. She is a loving big sister to her two siblings, and is cherished by her family. Her mother is a nurse, and her father is a chef. Both parents are determined to take turns being by her side to ensure she will never feel alone during her hospitalization. No child should ever have to battle cancer without their parents at their side, and no parent should have to miss a moment of comforting their child in their times of greatest need. By providing financial assistance, our community can ensure Aria’s family will be fully able to support each other during this incredibly trying experience.
