Support Art & Mary through their medical crisis

Hi, my name is Nancy and I am fundraising for my sister, Mary Willis, and brother-in-law Art Willis. He is a long haul truck driver and they have been together for 30 years, and are the most generous people you will ever come to know, giving to others without so much as a thought for themselves. They purchased their first home on Christmas Eve 2019 and we’re very proud. First time homeowners, spending thousands of their savings to do a complete renovation. In June of last year my sister suffered a stroke and was hospitalized while visiting their grandkids in California. Her recovery has been long and difficult, but has made great progress. Art, my brother-in-law, being the major breadwinner for them, came off the road to help her during her recovery going from long-haul to a more regional/local position that gave him more home time to be with her. However, that was soon interrupted in July when he became very ill, and had to take time off from his job to address his health. Which was discovered after a battery of test that he had developed a serious heart condition requiring treatment. During this time, he exhausted his medical leave and was subsequently dropped from his employers medical coverage. They have exhausted their savings to everything from the mortgage, insurance, auto payments to groceries and necessities. And now the funds have dried up and Art‘s health has progressed to the point that he can no longer work due to his health and at this point and it became clear that he would never be able to return to his career as a long-haul driver. However, their troubles were not over with depletion of their retirement savings to cover a mountain of medical debts. He found himself in an involuntary medical retirement. I’m reaching out to all friends, family, and strangers, asking for your help to help my sister Mary and brother-in-law Art get through these most difficult times for them. They are both stressed to the max worried how they will make their house payment, two car payments, Utilities plus food with zero dollars coming into their checking or savings account while waiting to hear from disability which can take months so I’m reaching out to everyone that have it in their hearts to help this sweet couple, it is greatly appreciated, and a huge, huge thank you and God bless you!
