Support Arthur LeBlanc's Burial- Funds 4 Fossil Preservation

This is a fundraiser to help cover burial and memorial costs for Arthur LeBlanc who died peacefully, surrounded by loved ones on Thursday August 8, 2024 at his daughter's home in Moscow, Maine. We did not see this coming until he had started losing weight this spring and when he finally went to the doctor, we learned that cancer had spread throughout his pancreas, lungs and beyond... He stayed at home assisted by family and hospice, with lots of friends and visitors coming by all summer, until last week he went further downhill and needed 24/7 care next door at Monica's. He was surrounded by love to the very end...

Arthur played bass and he played it well. A lot. With everyone! So many bands. Jams. Open mikes. Fiddlers Festivals. Weddings. Parties. If he wasn't on stage he was behind it, often both, doing sound and video for countless shows. He has an extensive collection of central Maine Music at his stellar youtube channel . Here is an old cut of The Country Choir (Arthur is in the back), proving he's been taking video since the dawn of time. ;) Here's a gem of him singing from 2022 in Bingham.

But Arthur mostly played for whiskey and gas money. He left behind SO many good memories and SO much good music but nothing to cover the costs for his burial, which he specifically wanted. He will be buried next to his parents in the St Sebastian Cemetery on the Father Rasle Rd in Madison, a special place.

We will have a memorial celebration on Sunday Sept. 15th at the Solon Hotel at 1:00 pm which will roll right into the open mike from 3-6pm (which Arthur had recently regenerated after it had stopped for too long). He loved music. We will be singing, picking and rocking in his honor - please join! Feel free to bring pictures you may have, and memories to share with those who loved him, together in his honor.
