Support Aryn & Her Family in Her Recovery

Aryn Smiley (32) is a hardworking, mother of 3. Her children are Adelynn (6), Jacob (4), and Warren (16 months). Aryn currently serves at Who's on First in Ankeny, IA.

Aryn was rushed to Unity Point Hospital in Des Moines on October 24th due to a tragic event. When she arrived at the hospital the doctors were unsure if she was going to make it through the night. She had multiple broken ribs, a punctured lung, internal bleeding, and major brain swelling.

With lots of praying, she made it through the first 4 days. She fought super hard, and swelling decreased significantly. By the 4th day, the doctors informed Aryn's family that she would have little to no lasting effects from the injuries long-term. It is going to be a long road to recovery for Aryn though. Doctors were relieved to find out that she would not be paralyzed, but unfortunately, it may take a while to recover her ability to speak fully.

Being a single mother she needs lots of support to assist with living expenses, medical bills, physical therapy, and speech therapy in the months to come. We are hoping to raise money to assist her in this recovery while she is not able to work or support herself. If you cannot give financially, we greatly appreciate continued prayers for her healing.
