Support Asher's Battle Against Cancer

Recently, the family of 9-year-old Asher Moe was told Asher has stage 4 neuroblastoma. Asher has been healthy all his life with no signs or symptoms of any illness other than a stomachache. As a parent myself, I can't even begin to imagine the whirlwind they have endured in just the past two weeks.

Asher had his first dose of chemotherapy yesterday at Hershey Hospital and had a very difficult time. Lauressa, Asher's mom, is with him, and Jon, Asher's dad, is home with Asher's younger sister. Lauressa is a teacher at Fairfield High School and is taking time off to be with Asher. Asher will need 6-8 months of chemotherapy and will need to be in Hershey every other week.

No one ever expects to have a medical crisis like this, but when we do, it is wonderful to have a huge support of family and friends. People have asked what they can do to help, and the truth is, Lauressa and Jon are still trying to figure that out. They are taking things day by day and everyone is praying. As a mother myself, I would want nothing more than to be able to be with my child 24/7 and not worry about finances or working.

This fundraiser is so that Lauressa and Jon can be with Asher. Hershey Hospital is 1 hour away from Gettysburg, and the funds raised will be used to help the Moe's with gas, food, and anything else they may need during this difficult time. Many people are praying, and we will continue to ask for prayers. It is still unknown what expenses the Moe's will incur, so we are asking for donations of any amount. We know God is with Asher and we know God is a miracle worker. The Moe's have a tough road ahead, but they are not alone. Thank you.
