Support Asheville J.Jill Associates in Recovery Efforts

Hurricane Helene has caused unprecedented devastation across Western North Carolina. The storm capped off three days of extreme, unrelenting precipitation from September 25-27 across many states, including North Carolina. Catastrophic flooding and unimaginable damage fell across the city of Asheville and its surrounding areas, resulting in the declaration of a Major Disaster by the Governor of North Carolina and a confirmation by the President of the United States. Our retail clothing store location J.Jill located in Biltmore Village was submerged under water up to the roofline and was left totaled by the damage of the storm. Video footage of the Biltmore Village shopping center aired on national news stations across the country, showing the gross flooding of the center.

The associates who work in our Asheville store location were affected by Hurricane Helene in some way and have disaster-caused needs. Many of our associates are still without power, water, and cellular service. Groceries and gas are scarce commodities in and around the Asheville area at this time. Additionally, our store location in Biltmore Village will remain closed until further notice.

As a result of this Major Disaster, it will take months for our associates and the Asheville community to rebuild their lives and businesses. Any relief that you can provide is greatly needed and appreciated. As the District Manager for the J.Jill Carolina market, I (Jennie Ambrose) will ensure that your contributions go directly to the associates of our Biltmore Village store location to use to rebuild their livelihood in the coming months as they individually see fit. Funds will be distributed based on the following hierarchy.

Our Asheville Leadership Team: Store Manager Blythe, Assistant Manager Lori, Assistant Manager Tammy, Sales Lead Margaret, and Sales Lead Mary.

Our Asheville Sales Associate Team: Allison, Jeanine, Margaret, and Patricia.
