Support Asheville Caregivers After Hurricane Helene
Donation protected
This is Daniel Pickus, and I am the owner of the Senior Helpers office in Asheville, North Carolina.
As you have likely already seen on the news, Hurricane Helene hit Western North Carolina really hard, devastating towns in our area. The communities we serve in Buncombe and Henderson counties, including the cities of Asheville and Hendersonville, are reeling from the catastrophic flooding. Our area has been without power, cell service, water, and gas since the storm hit, and many of our roads are closed with power lines down and trees. There has been a lot of damage to public infrastructure in addition to private property.
Our caregivers need salaries now more than ever, but most of our shifts have been canceled and we are not sure when it will be safe to get back out on the roads to serve our clients. We are raising funds to help pay for PTO for our amazing team and help them get through this difficult time. We would like to match their salary average over the last 3 months. To do this, we would need to have about $8,000. As a small business, we do not have the funds to do this without your help. All money raised will go toward supporting our caregivers, our wonderful Senior Helpers team in Asheville.
