Support Asheville's Table Staff in Crisis

Donation protected

Beginning the night of September 26, our city of Asheville suffered an unimaginable natural disaster. As of writing this, our restaurant Table remains without water and electricity and has suffered a catastrophic loss of goods. Table has been a cornerstone of the Asheville community since 2005 and a stalwart member of the farm-to-table movement in Western North Carolina. But this is not about the restaurant; it is about the people behind it—our line cooks, dishwashers, bar backs, servers, prep cooks, and chefs; the people that make it happen.

Like so many in our community, our staff woke up on Friday morning facing great uncertainty. They have responded with great resilience in spite of their own losses of home, possessions, continued losses of power and potable water, losses of food, and while caring for children and other dependents. But more than that, with total loss of income and with no foreseeable return to work. In spite of this, many have taken to volunteering their time; delivering food to their neighborhoods, driving hundreds of miles in spite of gas shortages to do supply runs, cooking and distributing goods because at the heart of it we are all members of the community.

We humbly ask for your support in this, our worst moment, so we can soon get back to what we love doing the most—being there for you during your happiest moments.

With love and gratitude, the family at Table
