Ashley and Tony's Road to Recovery
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Samantha McElroy. My sweet friends and co-workers, Ashley and Tony were involved in a horrible accident involving a semi.
On Saturday morning, June 15th, they took their hot rod out to enjoy their day. They were going through an intersection while their light was green and got struck on the driver side where Tony was. Ashley was thrown from the vehicle. And both suffered severe injuries.
The driver of the semi looked up and noticed the light was yellow, soon to be red. He says he couldn’t get stopped in time.
Tony is currently in the ICU in critical condition fighting for his life. He had a brain bleed and swelling, was immediately taken into surgery to remove part of his skull to relieve the swelling. He was also not breathing at all on his own after the impact of the wreck. He is on a ventilator and will be for sometime. He will remain sedated to give his body some time to heal and his brain to go down from swelling. Ashley is badly banged up. She has road rash and bruises all over her body, her head was split open and had to be stapled closed. She’s barely able to walk and is in a tremendous amount of pain.
As we all know, it’s already hard enough trying to make it on two incomes in this economy. With them both being out of work for quite sometime, they will need a cushion to fall back on to help them keep their home, pay their bills, food, transportation, stuff for their kids and any unexpected medical expenses. They have in no way asked for any help. But I’d love for us all to come together and help them in their time of need. Both of them would give the shirt of their backs to anyone. .
If you feel it on your heart to donate, it’s appreciated more than you know. If not, that’s okay too. Prayers are very much welcome as they try to navigate the future and prepare for the long road ahead of them.
All funds received are going directly to Ashley and Tony. I will also be setting up a meal train sign up for them soon.
Thank you. ♥️
