Hi, my name is Ashley Cook, and I am delighted to announce that I was selected to represent Team USA at the 2022 World Dodgeball Federation Championships in Edmonton, Canada which are taking place from August 28th - September 4th.
This is a true honor, but our sport is not at the professional level yet, so for now this honor comes with a lot of expenses. As I get exact numbers, I will update them here for transparency. Players pay their own way and for their stay. Examples of costs include hotel, flights, luggage, jerseys, food, etc. I also will be missing out on about 10 days of work on top of all of this, which is exactly why I am asking for support on my way to worlds this year.
2022 is the first WDBF Championships being held since COVID, and I couldn't be more excited and grateful for this opportunity. I played for Team USA in both 2018 and 2019, where our women's team took home gold! Let's make it happen again!
