Support Ashley Diamond’s Journey to Recovery

Dear friends, supporters, and compassionate community members,

We are reaching out today to share the urgent and heartbreaking situation of Ashley Diamond, a dedicated trans prisoner rights activist who recently relocated to California in pursuit of a fresh start. At the beginning of Pride Month, Ashley collapsed and stopped breathing for several minutes, leading to a lengthy hospitalization that continues to this day.

Ashley is currently being treated at Kaiser Permanente in Los Angeles, where doctors have diagnosed her with blood clots, double pneumonia, brain and organ damage from losing consciousness for a prolonged period, rhabdomyolysis and sepsis, and the beginning stages of kidney failure.

These severe health issues have resulted in a significant loss of function, including the inability to walk. As a result, Ashley now requires extensive nursing and physical rehabilitation care to regain her strength and independence.

Given the complexity and intensity of Ashley's medical needs, we are committed to ensuring she receives the best possible care in a supportive environment. To achieve this, we are raising funds to airlift her to a long-term care facility that is experienced and receptive to working with transgender patients.

Our fundraising goal is $30,000, which will cover the costs of the airlift and initial treatment at the long-term care facility, as well as other living and medical expenses that Ashley incurs during her long recovery.

Ashley has dedicated her life to advocating for the rights of others, and now she needs our help to secure the care and support she so desperately requires.
