Support Ashley's Battle with Lupus and Kidney Failure
Donation protected
Greetings everyone, my name is Danielle and this is for my beautiful sister, Ashley.
We, as a family, are asking for your prayers and assistance for Ashley, who is a daughter, wife, sister, and mother. Any donations you are willing to provide will all be going towards her medical needs and also the loss of time from her employment.
In 2015, Ashley was diagnosed with Lupus [An autoimmune disease that attacks healthy tissues and organs. Inflammation caused by lupus can affect many different body systems, including joints, skin, kidneys, blood cells, brain, heart, and lungs.] Over the years, she has had flare-ups, shortness of breath, and fatigue some days but has overall battled through it the whole time.
As of January 19, 2025, she was admitted into HCA Port St. Lucie hospital because it became too much to bear when she had shortness of breath and was more fatigued than usual. Once she was examined, the doctor said it was critical and she needed to stay in the hospital. After doing numerous tests, she was informed that her kidneys were failing. She underwent more tests to see whether she would need dialysis [Treatment that helps the body remove extra fluid and waste products when the kidney is unable to due to Lupus.]
As of January 21, she has undergone a small procedure for a port to begin dialysis and completed her first round. Her dialysis will continue until further notice. We will keep everyone informed of her progress. Please keep her in your prayers with love.
Ashley currently works for Club Pure as a teacher for pre-k students whom she adores. She's a very dedicated educator and enjoys giving back to the community in this profession. They have an incredible staff who are very supportive of her and what she is going through. Ashley never takes a day off and has even said multiple times that she has to go back to work, but due to this new development, critical to her health, she is unable to do what she loves at the moment.
Ashley is married with 3 kids and is highly invested in their education as well as afterschool activities (wrestling, track, and dance lessons). Day by day, she is always helping someone, whether it's her family or friends. It's been difficult on the family when they are so used to seeing her happy, cheerful, loving, and always ready to enjoy life with a smile.
Again, we ask for your prayers with love and donation for Ashley. It will be going towards the time she is losing from not being able to work as well as the beginning steps of her ongoing dialysis treatment. Unfortunately, she does not have insurance. This is why it's so important to ask for help.
Thank you.
