Please Support Ashton's Road to Recovery
Donation protected
Ashton was a passenger in a devastating vehicle crash on April 13th, with his friends. Ashton has not gained 100% consciousness yet but is fighting very hard! For brief moments we are able to get him to open his eyes for a few minutes, hold short conversations, even recognize close friends, family members and call them by name.
Ashton has a fractured femur ball towards his hip socket, broken ulnar, broken wrist, two skull fractures, bruises, and a small brain bleed. Fortunately, neuro provided an update with positive news, the brain bleed is not getting worse. He is struggling right now with recollection of what’s going on around him. Ash was taken off of life support yesterday and at times is saying things which don't make sense, which doctors assure us is normal right now as he is just starting the fight from being off of life support.
Ashton is a fun loving, thoughtful person who is always the one you can count on to put a smile on your face. He is currently attending Glendale Community College earning his AA degree with plans to transfer to ASU to major in business.
This driven young man has a long road to recovery and healing. Doctors have informed us he will need extensive outsourced, “live in” physical therapy as well as cognitive therapy for his brain injury. There is no time frame regarding his recovery pertaining to his brain, taking is slowly, one day and one moment at a time.
The family is seeking help from the community. On behalf of Ashton- his mom Jennie, his father Chris, bonus mom Kim, and bonus dad James. Whether its donations or prayers, we are so grateful as we all come together in these hard times.
All funds will be put towards Ashton's medical bills, treatments, rehabilitation, therapy and other costs his family will undoubtingly come across during this long road to recovery.
Any contribution, no matter how small, can make a huge difference. Please share this with your friends, family, co-workers, etc. We ask you to keep Ashton, the family and the families of the other five kids in your thoughts and prayers. We are hopeful with everyone's support; Ashton can focus on recovering without the financial burden and stress this will surely bring.
