FONDO PARA ASISTENICA LEGAL DE LOS INQUILINOS DE ATLANTIC MILLS

We, the tenants of the Atlantic Mills, have voted to form the first commercial tenants union in Rhode Island and to affiliate as a chapter of the Rhode Island Tenants Union. The Atlantic Mills Tenants Union (AMTU) joins in solidarity with the state and nation-wide effort to give tenants the voice we deserve in the futures of our communities. We will need to hire an attorney to help us successfully bargain with the current/future owners, and we ask that you contribute to this fund to help us do so.

Nosotros, los inquilinos de Atlantic Mills (conocido como el Flea Market de la Manton), hemos votado para formar el primer sindicato comercial de inquilinos en Rhode Island y afiliarnos como una sección del Sindicato de Inquilinos de Rhode Island. For over 70 years, Atlantic Mills has supported a network of Latino owned businesses and community advocacy groups. The building provides crucial studio stock to the city’s arts community allowing hundreds of artists, tradespeople, and Latino businesses to flourish.

We demand that current ownership and potential future owners come to the negotiating table in good faith to collectively bargain with the Atlantic Mills Tenants Union.
