አቶ አስችለዉ ነጋ ጀምበር ከአባታቸዉ ከአቶ ነጋ ጀምበር እና ከእናታቸዉ ከወይዘሮ ሙጭቴ አምባዬ በ፲፱፻፶፮ ዓም በበጌምድር ጠቅላይ ግዛት ጎንደር ዙሪያ ወረዳ ተወለዱ።

አቶ አስችለዉ ነጋ የአንደኛና የሁለተኛ ደረጃ ትምህርታቸዉን በጎንዳር ከተማ በመሰረት አንደኞ ደረጃ አና በቀዳማዊ ሐ/ስላሴ ሁለተኛ ደረጃ ት/ቤት ተከታትለዋል። አቶ አስችለዉ በ፲፱፻፷፱ ዓም በታወጀዉ የእድገት በሕብረት ዘመቻ በመዝመት በደልጊ የመሰረተ ትምህርት ጣቢያ ፊደል የመቁጠር እድል ያልነበራቸዉን ወገኖቻቸዉን አስተምረዋል።

አቶ አስችለዉ በ፲፱፻፷፮ የኢትዮጵያ አብዮት ሲፈነዳ የበኩላቸዉን አስተዋፅዖ ለማበርከት በለጋ አድሜያቸዉ የህይወት መስዋዕትነትን በሚጠይቀዉ የትጥቅ ትግል ለመሳተፍ ወስነዉ ከ፲፱፻፸፯ እስከ ፲፱፻፹ ዓም ድረስ የኢትዮጵያ ሕዝባዊ አብዮታዊ ፓርቲ ሰራዊትን (ኢሕአሰ)ን በመቀላቀል ለሕዝባቸዉ ነፃነት ታግለዋል።

አቶ አስችለዉ ወደ አሜሪካን ሃገር ከመጡ በሗላ በሳን ሆዜ ስቴት ዮኒቨርሲት ትምህርታቸዉን ተከታትለዉ በአካዉንቲንግ የመጀመሪያ ዲግሪያቸዉን ተቀብለዋል። አቶ አስችለዉ ሁሌም ወገናቸዉን ለመደገፍ ከነበራቸዉ ጉጉት የተነሳ ዲግሪያቸዉን እንዳገኙ በሳንታ ክላራ አዉራጃ የማህበራዊ አገልግሎት ቢሮ በሃላፊነት ደረጃ ተቀጥረዉ በርካታ ኢትዮጵያዊያንና ኤርትራዊያን ወገኖቻቸዉን በስራ ስዓታቸዉና በዕረፍት ጊዚያቸዉ ሳይቀር ቤታቸዉ ድረስ እየሄዱ በሚችሉት ሁሉ ረድተዋል።

ሰዉ መደገፍ የማይሰለቻቸዉ አቶ አስችለዉ ባጋጠማቸዉ የጤና መታወክ ምክንያት ከወገንና ከስራ ዓለም ተለይተዉ ለሁለት አስርተ አመታት በአስቸጋሪ ሁኔታ ህይወታቸዉን ሲመሩ ቆይተዋል። በመጨረሻም አቶ አስችለዉ ባደረባቸዉ ፅኑ ህመም ጥቅምት ፳ ቀን ፳፻፲፯ ዓም በተወለዱ በ ፷፰ ዓመታቸዉ ከዚህ አለም በሞት ተለይተዋል። በመሆኑም ለአቶ አስችለዉ የቀብር ሰነ ሰርዓት ማስፈፀሚያ የሚሆን ወጭን ለመሸፈን የገንዘብ ድጋፍ በማድረግ እንድትተባበሩን ዘመድ ወገኖቻቸዉ በታላቅ ትህትና እንለምናለን። ለምታደርጉልን ድጋፍም ልባዊ ምስጋናችን እንገልፃለን። ፈጣሪ የአቶ አስችለዉን ነፍስ በዓፀደ ገነት ያኑርልን። ዓሜን

About Ato Aschelew Nega Jember.

Ato Aschelew Nega Jember was born on August 30, 1956, in the historic city of Gondar, Ethiopia to his father, Ato Nega Jember, and his mother, W/o Muchite Ambaye.

During his time as a high school student, he took part in "Edget Bhibret," a project launched by the Ethiopian government to educate subsistence farmers in rural areas of the country.

In 1977, Ato Aschelew joined the Ethiopian People's Revolutionary Army (EPRA) and served during the height of the Ethiopian Civil War until 1980. Aschalew risked everything, putting his life on the line for his country and his strong beliefs. He fought bravely for the betterment of Ethiopia, sacrificing his own safety.

After immigrating to America, he made San Jose City his new home and enrolled at San Jose State University, where he obtained a degree in accounting. After graduating, he joined the Santa Clara Department of Social Services with a specific mission to help other Ethiopian and Eritrean immigrants.

Ato Aschelew Nega Jember lived in San Jose, California for four decades before passing away on October 30, 2024. He was a beloved member of the Ethiopian and Eritrean community in San Jose and was known for his tireless efforts in helping families in need at Santa Clara County Social Services. Ato Aschelew was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Ato Aschelew Nega suffered from a health issue that resulted in him losing his job and his family. He endured a difficult life for over two decades. Sadly, on October 30, 2024, he passed away. We are deeply saddened by the loss of our beloved brother Ato Aschalew Nega and are kindly reaching out to our community for financial support to cover the costs of his funeral.
