Hello, my name is Andrej.

I am accepted into the Master's program "Computer Science, Decisions, Data" at the famous Paris Dauphine, part of the research university Paris Science et Lettre, the best in France and top 40 worldwide. As every constituent college of PSL excels in its field, Dauphine specializes in decision and organization sciences with unparalleled ties with the private sector.

Unfortunately, I do not have enough financial means at the moment to cover my living expenses. Hence, I am here to try to collect the missing funds to be able to support myself during my first year of Master's program at this renowned institution.

WHY is this program important

Since 2014, I had a dream. But even back then, I knew that to have any chance of fulfilling my dream, I would have to work very hard. So, I did.

After almost a decade of sacrifice, diligent work, spending many, many hours coding, optimizing, solving integrals, learning French, but also volunteering, organizing and attending conferences and fairs, tutoring, mentoring and being mentored, I got the opportunity of a lifetime. The idea of attending such an elite program was my North Star motivating me to pursuit of international experiences, growth and challenges - the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program in my home country Bosnia and Herzegovina and Bachelor in Computer Science in Slovenia

What drew me to this AI program, besides the top-tier education, are the internship opportunities and 4+6 months of practical research obligations in RD departments of leading European and global firms, startups and institutes. Additionally, Dauphine nurtures the entrepreneurial spirit in its students through incubators, workshops and industry lectures. This is important since I value research to the extent that it changes people's lives.

WHAT I collected and what am I searching for

So far, I have

covered the cost of tuition fees, health insurance and subsidized accommodation through the French Government scholarship (scholarship status enables numerous additional discounts and benefits)
collected part of the funds through savings from last year's scholarships

This together is roughly 20% of the life expenses for the 12 months I would be spending in Paris (8.5 months of class and 3.5 months of internship). Although applied research stretches the time I need to be in Paris and consequently the budget requirements, all internships in France are paid (cca. €500-600/month).

I am no stranger to fighting my way around financing my studies. Before moving to Slovenia, I worked in the gig economy (thanks to my English and French skills) and secured the financial means for the first year. During the next two years, I enjoyed the support of the University of Primorska Excellence Scholarship. I have learned the value of a euro.
