Support Austin Bebout's Heart Surgery Recovery
Donation protected

Hello, My name is Heidi and Austin Bebout is my cousin. As many of you know Austin has been battling heart and other issues for the last two weeks and our friends and family want to help ease the some of the financial burden that him and Hannah will be facing. The following is from Hannah. Austin went to urgent care on Oct 18th with severe stomach pains that was initially diagnosed as pancreatitis and he was ultimately admitted to Summa Health for treatment where he was also treated for a bad case of pneumonia. After a CT scan on Oct 21st, a tear through his aorta was found that led to an immediate flight to Akron City hospital for emergency open heart surgery. The surgery was a success and he has been in the Heart and Lung ICU since then but has experienced several severe setbacks, including the need for a permanent pacemaker. He has a long road to recovery ahead of him that will consist of months off work, regular rehabilitation and physical therapy, lifelong medications and a lifetime of being a cardio patient.
For those of you that know Austin, he is a healthy and active 27 year old that is full of life. He was just very unlucky to fall victim to this life-threatening condition at no fault of his own. He is however very, very lucky that this was caught when it was and he has had an incredible care team since the day he was admitted. Most people with this condition don't make it to surgery and even fewer people survive surgery to point of recovery. Austin is the type of person that has never met a stranger and he is a one of a kind friend and family member to everyone in his life. He is proud dog dad of three who just got married in September of this year and has ambitious goals for his life and career going forward.
Any amount you can donate is greatly appreciated and if you can't donate please say a prayer for him and share this story with others.
Thank you!
