Support Austin's Urgent Mental Health Needs

My name is Alexandria and I am asking for help for my son Austin.

Austin is 16 years old and has autism. He happens to fall on the severe end of the autism spectrum. Austin is typically an absolutely amazing, sweet, funny, and happy boy. Over the past 2 years, Austin has been experiencing difficulties in managing his emotions, which have led to explosive and often violent behavior. These behaviors have significantly increased over the past 6 months. My sweet boy has started hurting himself and although I know he hasn't meant to, he has hurt others. It has led to a breaking point where he very much needs help.

He is currently hospitalized and is being held until a youth mental and behavioral health center has an opening. It is unfortunately a long waiting list.

We also think Austin is suffering with more than just autism and he really needs these services, treatment, and additional diagnosis.

I have recently lost my job and am out of work. My family is already struggling. We are needing some help covering medical expenses and copays for treatment. Just the copay for inpatient mental health is $1,000.00; that unfortunately is just the tip of this iceberg.

The money raised will change Austin's life, and greatly improve the lives of his loved ones.
