Support Autumn's Journey to a New Home

Hello. My name is Autumn and I am a 38 year old disabled trans woman and cannot work. I currently live in Upstate New York in an apartment with my dog and cat, both of which are ESA's. I've been applying for SSDI/SSI, and my needs are met by RCIL which grants a housing subsidy, while county social services grants public assistance, SNAP, and medicaid. My Mom has been paying for my dog and cat, as well as cell phone bill, and uber rides when needed (but I am trying to become more financially independent). In August I received my recertification with county social services to retain my benefits (which is done every six months). They require I submit a medical form from my doctor, and proof of my SSDI/SSI application and a letter from a disability lawyer stating I have an attorney helping with my appeal. My lawyer that I had since 2015 dropped me as a client after giving me the run around for almost a month because I "hadn't been hospitalized within the past 2 years". They recommended a free lawyer organization, which wouldn't help me until I was about to see a disability judge. I tried another lead for help, but they forwarded me elsewhere and that place recommended the free lawyer organization I had contacted before. So I've exhausted my options. Since I do not have proof of an SSDI/SSI lawyer helping me, I am not getting recertified and will lose all of my benefits starting in November. I cannot pay for my apartment on my own, so I must find somewhere else to live. I have lifeplan but they have seldom helped me when I needed it. My neighbor that lives across the hall and his girlfriend are transphobic and I've been subjected to some really weird and scary situations. I've been through transphobic harassment when going out into this apartment complex and society as well and I don't feel safe where I live. One of my neighbors is smoking so much it is permeating into my room and exacerbating my health issues, and opening windows and an air purifier just don't help and the management here is unwilling to do anything else.

For a long time I haven't wanted to live here anyway, since I don't have a life or future here as I am very isolated and have no opportunities. I cannot access gender-affirming healthcare apart from HRT since I live so far away from everything, and have no one to help me with transportation and recovery from surgeries, and getting hair electrolysis (which would get paid for by Medicaid). So perhaps this is the push I needed to get out of here and go somewhere else that is better for my health.

I don't expect to get the full amount, but at this point I'm just trying to get whatever help that I can. The goal is to have enough to rent a truck, pay movers, fuel costs, resettling in a new place, and having funds enough to be okay while I get established. I'm also not sure where to go yet, but am currently working hard on figuring that out since this was all really sudden and only have a month left.
