Support Ava Bunny Inc.'s Mission of Comfort

Our non-profit, Ava Bunny Inc., is in the process of becoming a 501(c)3 organization! This designation will help us to expand our operations and reach many more families not only locally but nationwide! In the meantime, we will continue to take monetary donations through the GoFundMe platform so we can continue supporting bereaved families in and around Rochester and upstate NY! We have been able to provide comfort in the form of plush bunnies to HUNDREDS of families. Every dollar donated goes toward purchasing stuffed bunnies, shipping, postage, and delivery costs. OUR STORY AND HOW WE GOT STARTED:

After the loss and stillbirth of our beautiful Ava Mae Sharman on May 15, 2021, Ben and I were devastated. Instead of leaving the hospital with a beautiful bundle of joy, we left with a box containing locks of hair and handmade gifts from other loss parents. We received many items of care throughout that first year without Ava, many of which included a stuffed animal. But only one really stood out. The day after Ava was born, we were given a very special and meaningful "stuffie" from our sister, and it continues to provide us with emotional support four years later. This stuffed animal became the inspiration for Ava Bunny Inc.

Our hope is to provide this same comfort to parents who have lost a child due to stillbirth and miscarriage. We will use every dollar to purchase and gift stuffed bunnies to these families in honor of our bunny girl.
