Support Avijit Hira's Family
Donation protected
In life, Avijit Hira was an instructor, a brother, an adventurer, and an excellent researcher. We know Avijit to be a traveler, always a smiling friend, and a wonderful human being. He was a dreamer and passionate about volunteering, working with “Dream,” a voluntary blood donation society in Bangladesh.
In Fall 2019, Avijit came to the US from a small town of Bangladesh to pursue his Ph.D. journey at Marquette University, WI. He was aiming to get his Master’s degree from Opus College of Engineering, Marquette University. He was also planning to take his Doctoral qualifying examination offered in the summer of 2021. Unfortunately, on the 18th of February 2021, our dearest friend left us. This sudden blow gave us bundles of grain, ashes, and tears of rain. We pray that he will find his peace on the other side.
Avijit came from a lower-middle-class family, and throughout his life, Avijit was a key earning member for his old parents and other family members. Every day, they could see a ray of hope from him, and now that hope is gone! We should be aware that senior citizens in Bangladesh usually do not get any support from Government, and Avijit's are not any different. At this stage, they need as much support as possible from the outside.
We BSAMU convey our earnest request to all the students, faculty, and alumni of Marquette University and all the other universities in the USA to extend their hands to Avijit Hira’s family. Indeed, we will never be able to fill up the parents' emptiness, but your contribution will go a long way to help us support his family!
Let us come together in support of Avijit's family. Please contact us if you need any information.
