Hello Friends, Family and Community,
The Story:
Thank you for taking the time to read my story! As I've been keeping this private, some of you may not know that I was recently diagnosed with High-Grade Dysplasia (Cin2) in my cervix. This means that I have an alarming number of pre-cancer cells rapidly growing to cancer. I had not had a pap smear in years, but I wanted to take charge of my health this year and decided to have a whole body check-up in December. Unfortunately, the results came back, and in January, I had to receive a biopsy to determine the severity of this diagnosis. While this was a scary time, it was a huge blessing because I would have full-blown cervix cancer if I had just waited a year to get this pap smear.
To prevent the pre-cancer cells from turning into cancer, it is highly suggested to have a LEEP (Loop electrical excision procedure) scheduled for March 22. Basically they'll be removing the part of my cervix that has the pre-cancer cells. While this is an outpatient surgery, I will be sedated, and the entire procedure should take 1-2 hours. I have to be bed rested for 3-5 days and be low active for a month while I heal.
YES, I am scared. However, I know this is the best choice for my health. I asked my nurse and doctor many questions, and I feel good about this choice.
The Ask:
I'm asking for $2000. The donations will cover:
☑️ A portion of my April rent, as I won't be working the last few weeks of March.
☑️Food. I will be resting the first few days and won't have that much energy to cook how I usually like.
☑️ Helping pays for doggy care. I want to be able to pay my friends to play and feed my doggies while I recovery
How You Can Help:
☑️ Please donate whatever you can!
☑️ Please share my fundraiser!
☑️ Give me a call and check on me!
Thank you for reading my story. I will recover from this with great ease, knowing that I made the right choice and my community supports me. I will keep you updated post-surgery on my recovery! Love you all immensely!
