Help Us Honor Ayelech Desta

Ayelech Desta, the beloved mother of Yohannes Shiferaw, traveled from Ethiopia to Bakersfield, California, to meet and attend her grandson Andualem Yohannes' graduation in 2016. Tragically, as she was preparing for the graduation celebration, she suffered a stroke and required extensive medical care afterwards. Despite her family’s support and the best possible treatment over the last 8 years, Ayelech sadly passed away on October 5, 2024.

In addition to this devastating loss, her only son, Yohannes Shiferaw, and his wife, Mulumebet Tadesse, have both been diagnosed with dementia and are currently receiving care at a Skilled Nursing Home. Due to these circumstances, sending Ayelech’s body back to Ethiopia is not possible, and a local burial is necessary.

We, along with the Ethiopian community, are reaching out for your help to cover Ayelech Desta's funeral and burial expenses. Any amount you can contribute will be greatly appreciated as we navigate these challenging times and work to give her the dignified farewell she deserves.

ወ/ሮ አየለች ደስታ፣የተወዳጁ አቶ ዮሃንስ ሽፈራው እናት እድገታቸውና ኑሮአቸው

በኢትዮጵያ የነበረ ሲሆን፣በ 2016 ዓ/ም የ ልጅ ልጃቸውን የአንዱአለም ዮሃንስን የከፍተኛ የትምህርት ተቁዎም ምርቃት ምክንያት በማስመልከት ወደ ቤከርስፊልድ ካሊፎርኒያ ለመምጣት ችለዋል:: ሆኖም ከምርቃቱ በፊት ባጋጠማቸዉ የስትሮክ ህመም በህክምና ሲታገዙ ቆይተው ኦክቶበር 5 ቀን 2024 በተወለዱ በ87 ዓመታቸው ከዚህ አለም በሞት ተለይተዋል:: ከዚህ አሳዛኝ ገጠመኝ በተጨማሪ አቶ ዮሃንስ ሽፈራው እና ባለቤታቸው ወ/ሮ ሙሉእመቤት ታደሰ የሚቻላቸውን ሁሉ እንክብካቤ ቢያደርጉም እነርሱም በገጠማቸው የጤና እክል የመርሳት ህመም ምክንያት በአሁኑ ወቅት በነርሲንግ ሆም እንክብካቤ እየተደረገላቸው ይገኛሉ:: ይህ ሆኖ እንዳለ አቶ ዮሃንስ ሽፈራው የአየለች ደስታ የብቸኛ ልጅ በመሆኑ አስክሬናቸውን ወደ ኢትዮጵያ መላክ ስላልተቻለ የልጅ ልጆቻቸው በቤከርስፊልድ ካሊፎርኒያ እንዲቀበሩ ወስነዎል:: የአየለች ደስታን የቀብር ወጪ ለመሸፈን የልጅ ልጆቻቸው የኢትዮጵያውያንን እና የኤርትራውያንን ማህበረሰብ እርዳታንና ድጋፍ ስለሚሹ ሁሉም የአቅሙን አስተዎጽዖ እንዲያበረክት በትህትና እና በአክብሮት እንጠይቃለን::
