Support Baby Alberto's Family After Tragic Loss

Donation protected
One week before Christmas 2024 in Culiacan Sinaloa Mexico, baby Albertos father, Alberto, was driving home from his Law School Christmas party after dropping off a classmate. When he was caught between a rival cartel shootout and was fatally shot multiple times. Due his injuries, he then crashed his family's only mode of transportation.
The tragedy of this sudden loss, along with the manner in which it happened, has left his family broken and enduring a long, arduous recovery.

This is further exacerbated by the fact that his shooters looted his personal belongings, cell phone, wallet, and keys to his home. This gained them access to his bank accounts and credit cards. They continued to take from him even though he was gone.

Alberto was a loving father, husband, sole provider for his mother, his wife, and 5 month old baby Alberto (Beto). In the aftermath of it all, they are now left to struggle both emotionally and financially. Additionally, his mother, wife, and son, out of fear uprooted their lives to move in with various friends and family until they could overcome their anguish. They want to feel safe due to ongoing cartel violence and start to live again. It is a bitter reminder of how bad things are still happening to good people. Baby Beto still wakes every morning searching for his father, despite only being 5 months old.

Erik Granados and his family have shouldered all the burdens of planning funeral arrangements, covering travel costs for family members, and other unexpected expenses that come with such a heartbreaking loss. Despite their best efforts to manage, these unforeseen financial costs and ongoing fears are weighing heavily on them.

His family appreciates any and all support whatsoever, so that they can help Albertos small family secure themselves a new place to live and attempt to recuperate all their life's savings that were taken along with their loving brother, son, and husband that night. They are desperately trying to maintain their faith that they all can move past this insurmountable loss. They hope for a new life and a new home far away from their city. They hope for a new life and home far away from their city. A better future that could possibly give baby Beto a chance to live a long and violent free life.

If you are able, we do ask if you can help ease the financial strain during this incredibly difficult time. Any contribution, no matter the size, will be a tremendous blessing and will help them focus on healing rather than worrying about the mounting costs. Your kindness and generosity will mean the world to Erik and his family.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support and compassion.
