Support baby Everett and the Rheault Family
Donation protected
On September 4, Everett Albert Rheault, son of Roger and Jolene Rheault, was born with esophageal atresia. Esophageal atresia (EA) is a rare birth defect in which a baby is born without part of the esophagus (the tube that connects the mouth to the stomach). Instead of forming a tube between the mouth and the stomach, the esophagus grows in two separate segments that do not connect. Without a working esophagus, it's impossible for baby Everett to receive nutrition by mouth. Surgery to connect the esophagus is needed so he can feed properly.
Since birth, Everett has been in the neonatal intensive care unit at Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg with a long journey ahead of him. Roger and Jolene are grateful for a 'home away from home' at Ronald McDonald House, but it has been a challenging few months for everyone. Their three-year-old son, Boden, has been staying with Grandma and Grandpa back home.
In addition, Roger and Jolene were recently informed that Everett may also need additional surgery for his heart that will likely require travel to Edmonton. Again, this family has a long road ahead of them.
As Roger and Jolene navigate this challenging time with Everett, I am reaching out for support for them. Your donations, no matter the size, will make a profound difference in covering expenses associated with providing this level of care.
Together, we can bring hope and healing to this beautiful family.
Thank you for your generosity and compassion.
