Support Baby Luke McGath’s NICU Journey

Hello Everyone!

On behalf of Robert and Victoria McGath, they want to introduce everyone to their son, Luke Elijah McGath, born on October 18, 2024, at 8:05 am, weighing 4.8 lbs and 17 inches!

Victoria’s water broke a week ago, on Saturday, October 12th in the early morning hours. Robert rushed her to the clinic where she was then taken by ambulance to the hospital as the clinic didn’t have necessary resources to help her and she required more intensive care. She has been in the hospital since so doctors could closely monitor her and Luke. The doctors were hoping to delay his birth a few more weeks for him to further develop and be strong enough for a healthy delivery and birth. However, just a few days later, Luke decided at 1am on October 18th that he was ready to meet his Mom and Dad and Victoria went into labor! Due to complications with Victoria experiencing fevers and Baby Luke being under stress, the doctors determined that a c-section would be best for both Mom and baby. Luke made his arrival six weeks, five days ahead of schedule!

Luke has been born with some significant complications and at just hours old, he has already undergone surgery. He is in the NICU, on a ventilator as his little lungs aren’t developed enough yet to breathe on his own and his other complications are being closely monitored and cared for by his wonderful team of pediatric specialists.

Out of privacy for Robert and Victoria at this time, we are keeping the details of his significant complications limited to close family only and ask for your continued prayers for Baby Luke, Robert, and Victoria.

With their blessing, we are raising funds to assist Robert and Victoria with the many unanticipated expenses related to her early prolonged hospital stay and Luke’s extended NICU stay. Anything raised would be so very deeply appreciated by their little family and will help them significantly during this time of need in their lives.
