Support Baby Rosemary's Heart Journey
Donation protected
On July 7th, Rosemary Jane Young was born! But on July 9th Terah and Emmett were shocked to find out their newborn daughter's oxygen levels were dropping. After arriving at the hospital, baby was airlifted to The Children's Hospital in Minneapolis. It was discovered that baby Rosemary had an undetected, severe, congenital heart defect called Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. The left side of her heart had not developed fully and couldn't properly pump blood throughout her body. Our hearts hurt knowing that Rosemary won't ever have a “normal” heart but we are so thankful for the surgeons who, through multiple surgeries, will be able to make Rosemary's heart function and keep blood pumping through her body. Rosemary will have 3 heart surgeries by the age of 5. This is overwhelming news but we see God working each day as Rosemary's little body meets each challenge.
Her first surgery was Monday, July 15th. Her Doctors are encouraged by how well she is doing post-surgery. But the journey forward is a long one with multiple surgeries and many doctor checkups. Many of you reading this know the financial and mental strain that comes from having a loved one in the hospital. Terah and Emmett have felt surrounded by prayers and love during this time. Please continue to support them through your prayers and encouragement, and if you have the means to do so, support them through this GofundMe. God Bless you all
