Support Backwaters Employees After Hurricanes

Hello - I am Constantinos Pappas, one of the owners of Backwaters on Sand Key, located at 1261 Gulf Blvd, Clearwater Florida. Our Restaurant suffered extensive damage due to the surge from Hurricane Helene and the wind from Hurricane Milton. The damage has left our employees without work since 9/25/2024. Sadly, In addition to lost wages some of our employees have lost their homes and all of their personal belonging.

Backwaters is starting this fundraiser from the outpour of support from our customers.

The purpose of this fundraiser is to provide financial assistance to the 33 employees of Backwaters on Sand Key who lost income and homes due to both Hurricane Helene & Milton.

Funds raised will be split evenly between all front and back of the house hourly employees. However, if there is a specific employee that you would like your donation to go to, you can do so by entering their name in the notes of the donation and we will ensure that those funds go directly to that employee.

We are working hard to repair the restaurant and open our doors. We are lucky to have such wonderful customers who love our employees as much as we do.
