Support Bailey's Wedding After Tragic Loss

For our Pure Movement Family that has not heard yet, our dear Studio Manager and teacher, Ms. Bailey, tragically and unexpectantly lost her daddy, Pat Alexander, this past Saturday to what we believe was a heart attack while he was on duty as a Federal Air Marshal VIPR. Even more tragically, Bailey was trying on wedding dresses with her mother, Vicki, at a boutique named, Bailey's Bridal Boutique, which she has been waiting months to get an appointment into, when they received the call that Pat was unresponsive with no pulse and in an ambulance. As the boutique stylist quickly ripped Bailey out of the wedding dress she was trying on to allow for her to drive herself and her mother to the hospital only 17 minutes away from the boutique, they missed Pat being pronounced dead 6 minutes late. Bailey was proposed to in our 2024 Recital and will be marrying her fiance' Ricky in the fall, October 9th, 2025.

As a young bride to be, this has been the most painful thing to see Bailey endure. What is supposed to be the happiest day of her life to plan for, has now become the hardest. She told me Sunday night, the dress she was wearing when they got the call has to be the dress she gets married in, because it will be the closest to her daddy she will be on her wedding day. All this to say, she had a small budget for her wedding dress, and this dress far exceeds the budget. SHE DOES NOT KNOW THIS IS GOING OUT TO OUR PURE MOVEMENT DANCE FAMILY!!! I truly believe, with all of my heart, our studio could step in and financially help with the duties her daddy would be paying for as the Father of the Bride, and possibly more.

So many of you have reached out as to how we could all help, and I think it starts with purchasing this dress for Bailey. I have reached out to Bailey's Bridal Boutique, and they are so excited to be a part of this. The staff of PM & Bailey's Bridal, and I desperately want to help shift some of this sadness into joy. To add to the heart-wrenching story, when Bailey walked out in this dress, it was the FIRST DRESS that has made her mama cry, which is why she did not answer the first call from the officer on duty with Pat. She wanted to be fully in the moment with Bailey.

It truly is the most tragic story, made for movies. Surreal for the entire family. Pat was a National Homeland Security Officer, Federal Air Marshal, and Dallas PD, as well as a leading force in so many charity organizations for Supporting the Blue, such as the America's Defenders Foundation. Most importantly, Pat was a man of God, a true and tried Christian man, who you could find preaching the gospel and the word to anyone who needed to be lifted in spirit. He loved Bailey so much!!!

What I know now, this dress is $1,699 off the rack. This does not include tax or alterations. Her budget for her wedding dress was a very small fraction of this. Again, SHE HAS NO IDEA THIS IS HAPPENING!! Please help us keep this a very quiet secret until we are able to get her back to Bailey's Bridal Boutique to try the dress on again. The boutique set the dress aside as they hurried out to the hospital, and Bailey reached out to the stylist the next day to let her know she wanted the dress. The boutique knows not to take her money, but it needs to be purchased soon.

The goal is $2,000 to cover the dress and accessories, but if we exceed this goal, all money will go towards paying for this wedding.
