ኣርካን ገድሊ ጥበበኛ ርእሶም ተወልደብርሃን (ባራክዩ) ኣብ መሳርዕ ገድሊ ኤርትራ ብ1978 ተሰሊፉ ተዋጊኡ ዘዋግአ ተጋዳላይ'ዩ።ዝበዝሕ ሰብ ብዝውንኖ ኮሜድያዊን ተጫራቒ ገጸ ባህርያት'ዩ ዝፈትዎን ዘፍቅሮን።ኣብቲ ቀንዲ ዓንዲ ሕቖ ሰውራ ዝኾነ ባህሊ ውድብ ወርቃዊ ዓሸራ ኣንቢሩ:ምስ ብጾቱ ብጥበቡ ውን ተጋዲሉ'ዩ።

ባራክዩ ሎሚ ክንዲ እንባ ታሪኻዊ ኣበርክቶ ንሃገር መጥዩ:ካባና ካብ ህዝቡ ንእሽቶ ሓገዝ ደልዩ ይርከብ።ስለዚ ኩልና ሰብ ሕልና ኤርትራውያን ሓምሳ ለሚን ንሓደ ሸኸም ንሓምሳ መቕሊ ምኳኑ ተረዲእና:ካብቲ ኣጋጢምዎ ዘሎ ከቢድ ናይ ጥዕና መስገደል፥ ቃንዛኻ ቃንዝና’ዩ ብምባል ዘድሊ ገንዘባዊ ሓገዝ ኢደይ ኢድካ ንበል።

Barakyo-His pain is our calling to Act!

Russom Teweldebrhan, fondly known as Barakyo, has been one of the cornerstones of Eritrean arts and culture, playing a pivotal role in the struggle for independence and later in the defense of sovereignty through his remarkable talent for comedy and satire. His ability to educate and unite his people with humor has left an enduring mark on Eritrea’s national identity. Tragically, Barakyo fell victim to a devastating accident caused by a loose, runaway car that collided with him while he was sitting, resulting in a fractured right limb. His recovery from the fracture was very slow and further complicated by his diabetes, which also led to insufficient blood flow in his other limb, leaving him in urgent need of vascular surgery.

Now in Turkey, Barakyo awaits this critical procedure, but the upfront payment required is delaying his treatment. As a community, this is our opportunity to honor his immense contributions by standing with him in his time of need. Let’s come together to provide the financial support and prayers necessary to ensure that Barakyo, a hero and cultural icon, receives the care he deserves. Together, we can help him continue his legacy of inspiring and educating future generations.
