Support Battle Cat's Urgent FIP Treatment

Battle Cat (lovingly named by my younger sister) was rescued from the side of the road in Stanton KY. My parents welcomed her with open hearts and open arms back in 2024.

Last week though, Battle Cat started showing signs of not feeling well so she was taken to the vet. She initially presented with lack of appetite, fluid retention, and an enlarged liver. My mom had messaged me concerned after the first vet visit to try and figure out what was wrong with their sweet cat. The symptoms were indicative of wet FIP to me and I suggested they get her tested. By Saturday Battle Cat did not improve with steroids and lasix so they took her back to the vet and she was admitted and they began administering fluids and testing for FIP.

The results came back positive and Battle Cat has been admitted at the Winchester Animal Clinic under the care of Dr. Lee since Saturday of last week. Meds alone from stokes pharmacy are going to run about $1,100 plus whatever cost the vet will charge for the week admitted at the clinic and the fluids and care given.

I don’t doubt this will be a very expensive treatment once all is said and done but my parents are willing to do whatever it takes to help Battle Cat. I think we all know the deep love a pet can bring into our lives and you simply cannot put a price on love.

I can assure you they would appreciate any assistance helping cover the cost of the Bova GS-441524 treatment and the hospitalization.

Battle Cat is very loved and cherished and her family simply adores her. Any amount will help!
