Support Battlecat Staff After Hurricane Helene

Hello, my name is Hila Sullivan, Asheville, NC local & barista and manager of Battlecat. I have worked at Battlecat for a little over five years now & I've been advised by the owner, Amber Arthur to start this gofundme to help Battlecat staff in this uncertain and scary time.

As many of you know & have seen, Asheville, NC & surrounding areas have been severely devastated by Hurricane Helene. With power and cell service just being restored in some parts and water still off in every part of the city, Battlecat & its employees are left without business & work for the foreseeable future. I am so relieved to say all the staff are alive and safe, but some of us have been displaced, some are still without power, and every one of us is having to deal with the new harsh realities that this hurricane has provoked on our lives and our sudden loss of income.

Our goal is to provide some financial relief to the staff to make up for the funds that we are unable to receive for the foreseeable future. While we have all been applying for government assistance, most of us have yet to hear back and are uncertain when/if we will be receiving such assistance. If you are able to & have the funds to donate, anything helps, even small donations. We love our home in WNC and we appreciate all the love we have received in our years of business from our beloved locals as well as out-of-towners. Please continue to donate to local grassroots organizations on the ground as well as other local individuals and businesses alike who will be spending months without work trying to piece our city back together.

All donations from this gofundme will be directly to the baristas of Battlecat.
