Support Beatriz After a Car Crash

Hi, I’m Camden Robinson, Beatriz’s partner writing on her behalf. Right now, I’m the only one supporting her. We’ve both been put in a position where we are now out of work. I’ve been able to care for her physically, but we’re beginning to experience heavy financial burdens.

On Friday morning, July 29th, Beatriz Bueno was involved in a disastrous car crash in North Hollywood, hitting a tree while avoiding another vehicle. The car quickly became engulfed in flames. Fortunately, the fireman and people at the scene were quick to help, thus saving her and a friend’s life. The friend did not suffer any injuries besides bruising.

As for Beatriz, she has fractured her right pelvic bone, affecting her mobility greatly. She also sustained damage to her face and head, including a concussion, resulting in memory loss, several lacerations, a broken nose, heavy bruising, and a sprained ankle. She’s currently unable to walk, and our car and main source of income is gone.

After having spent the first few days at Cedars-Sinai Hospital, she’s now recovering at home and doing better. Unfortunately, bad news piled up as the doctor called us from home to let us know Beatriz might require hip surgery and much physical therapy ahead.

Beatriz migrated to the U.S. independently; therefore, she doesn’t have any family around and very little support network. Bills are piling up, and she’s running out of resources to remain afloat. As walking is not an option, she can do very little on her own. Dealing with the pandemic has not been easy on us, and has already put us over $6,000 in debt. Between jobs struggling to make ends meet, we had just spent an additional $2,000 on the car’s brakes and airbags to sell it shortly before it was totaled. With credit cards maxed out, Beatriz wants a chance to start fresh with your support.

We need your help to cover medical bills, food, transportation and living costs. We hope to eliminate debt, medical and recent expenses and the cost of transportation/a replacement vehicle; since insurance sadly did not cover it.

Costs of living for the next two months are $3k. Uber rides and a potential vehicle replacement $10k and about $9k to cover the debt. We haven’t received the bills from the hospital yet, but we estimate about $8k, considering two hospitals were involved in the treatment.
