Beckford Family Support after Horquidea passing
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Johnathan and I am starting this fundraiser to help support my family and to take care of my wife's unexpected medical bills due to my wife passing from breast cancer. On February 8th, 2023 my family and I experienced a monumental loss with the passing of my beautiful wife Horquidea Beckford. We lost my wife after a nearly 2 year breast cancer battle that had migrated to her lungs. During that time my wife gave me and my family a tremendous blessing in our youngest daughter Josephine Miracle Joy Beckford as she found out she was pregnant and also had cancer at the same time in February 2021. Horquidea was the strongest person I've ever known and she gave me so much strength and support in the way she loved me and all our beautiful children Shardenay, Cristian, Mia, Mya, and Josephine. It's taken me two whole days to somewhat process the huge hole in my heart that has been left since I lost my wife. Me and my children are devastated by our loss and miss her so much as Horquidea was the bedrock of our family. From the many scripture affirmations that she displayed in our household, to the teaching of God's word to our family my wife was truly a bold God-fearing woman who loved Christ and her family. She believed in God's healing power and gave testimony of God's love and perfect peace to all who would listen and I am so grateful to God for allowing her to pass peacefully at home with her family. I know my wife was an inspiration to many of our family, friends, and extended loved ones and she was such an amazing woman because her faith in God could move mountains and she trusted in our Lord and Savior to the end. Not only did I lose my wife but I lost a confidant, a pray warrior, the mother of my kids, my lover "muffin", my wise council, and the love of my life. Oh how I loved and still love her because she was my air, and everything in my daily routine reminds me of her. The love and care that she had for me reached the pinnacle during her ICU stay. The last time I was able to hear my wife's voice was in the morning of February 7th right before she was transported back home to hospice care. Horquidea woke up looked at me and then motioned for me to sit on the hospital bed. I quickly sat down then she quickly noticed that I had shaved my beard I had grown after I retired from the military. I told her I shaved it off for her and she touched my face with her hand and then Horquidea told me " I love you so much Johnathan and I love the kids" She gave me a kiss on the cheek and I began to cry immediately as she mustered all the strength she had to hold up both arms stretched wide to give me a big embrace. That was true love and she always told me and my children to always don't worry about anything and pray about everything. Even though she was suffering so much she still found a way to encourage me in the midst of her trial. Joshua 24:15 says "As for me and my house we will serve the Lord" and that has served as a family guideline for my clan of the Beckford family and we will continue to do so for God's glory. Proverbs 31:10 states "An excellent wife who can find? She is far more precious than jewels". My wife was exceedingly precious to me and our children and I'm so grateful for being able to spend the last 19 years with her by my side. If my wife has inspired you, encouraged you, loved you, or testified to you about the goodness of God please know that my love Horquidea is resting in peace with our creator and I know she is the guardian angel for our family now. Please pray for our family during this troubling time.
