Support Belinda Reid's Legacy and Family
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Dimitrius, and I am reaching out to ask for your support during one of the most difficult times in our lives. On November 17th, my mom, Belinda Reid, tragically went into cardiac arrest and was placed in a medically induced coma. Despite the best efforts of the doctors and the outpouring of love and prayers from friends and family, further tests revealed that there was no brain activity. On November 22, 2024, at 10:22 am, Belinda peacefully passed away.
Belinda fought a courageous battle with lupus & Rheumatoid arthritis since 2007. Throughout her illness, she remained a fierce advocate for herself and others facing chronic illness. Despite the physical challenges she endured, she continued to live with remarkable strength, resilience, and love. In addition to her fight with lupus, Belinda was also a selfless organ donor. She donated her lungs, kidneys, liver, and tissue—saving multiple lives and leaving behind a legacy of generosity and compassion.
While our hearts are heavy with grief, we find comfort in knowing that Belinda's legacy will live on through her selfless act of organ donation. She saved multiple lives, a testament to her generous spirit and love for others.
Belinda’s greatest pride was always her family. She was an unwavering source of love and support, especially for my sister Chessa, who plans to attend college next year to study business management. My mom was incredibly proud of me for pursuing a career in HVAC, and she always encouraged us to follow our dreams. She was deeply involved in our lives and stood by us every step of the way.
Belinda was a vibrant and passionate woman who lived life to the fullest. She began riding motorcycles in her 20s, had a deep love for gymnastics, and competed in the sport from 1st grade through 12th. She was a survivor, facing life’s challenges with strength, courage, and an unwavering will to protect and support her loved ones.
She leaves behind her daughter Chessa, granddaughter Alaiya, her parents John and Naomi, her sister Judy, my fiance Aimee, myself, and countless other family and friends who loved her dearly. Her legacy of love, strength, and generosity will never be forgotten.
In the wake of this tragedy, we are facing funeral and memorial costs, as well as the financial burden of helping my sister Chessa with her college tuition, competitive softball league, and living expenses. We are hoping to raise funds to support her schooling, living expenses, and the necessary costs for giving my mom the memorial she deserves.
Any donation, big or small, would mean the world to us during this time. Your support will not only help honor Belinda’s memory but will also ensure that my sister Chessa has the opportunity to pursue her dreams, just as our mom always wanted.
Thank you for your kindness, love, and support.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Dimitrius and the Reid Family
