Support Bend Montessori School

Donation protected
Please support Bend Montessori School and donate what you can to our school for the 2022-2023 school year. We are a small but solid program, with a big vision! As a community, there is a way that we can work together to balance the gap between the costs of providing a high-quality childcare/preschool experience and the cost to families. Your donation can help to stabilize our program by training and inspiring new and current staff. Funds raised will also keep our program accessible to any family regardless of the economic situation.

Teacher Training and Education
Our Montessori program requires specific education and training on guiding children with Montessori principles and materials. There are different teacher training programs available, and we strive to provide professional development and support for our staff who seek to pursue Montessori education and teacher certification. A portion of the money collected will be used to help cover training and continuing education costs for current teachers.

Tuition Assistance
These funds are available to families who do not qualify for the Employment Related Day Care (ERDC) assistance from DHS, but who could benefit from receiving a tuition discount for a period of time while enrolled at Bend Montessori School.

This kind of assistance can be helpful for families who have a parent returning to work, or for changes in employment, or simply for families who are seeking a high-quality learning environment for their child and do not have the financial means to cover the full cost of tuition.

Bend Montessori School operates within tight margins and the teachers do this work because they love the children and what it provides to our community. We are requesting $10,000 for the current school year: $5,000 to sponsor a teacher to attain Montessori certification, and $5,000 to provide tuition assistance for families that need it.

One of the 7 areas of curriculum that is emphasized at Bend Montessori School is Kindness. Students gain understanding, tolerance, and compassion for all people in the world by looking at the basic needs of all humans (food, shelter, and clothing). Along with lessons in kindness, the Montessori experience develops the children’s awareness of their own feelings and sensitivity to the feelings of others. What a perfect opportunity to live what we want our children to learn by showing kindness and supporting our teachers and school. These are the kinds of opportunities and collaborations that can help educators stay inspired to stay in the field of education.
