Support Bentley's Journey to a Pain-Free Life

Bentley is a handsome 2-year-old dog who was found as a stray and brought to the APS of Caswell County in NC over a year ago. He was overlooked for months and this Spring, I took him home to foster him and give him a break from the shelter. I noticed he seemed to be having some trouble with his hips.

He was taken to the vet and found to have luxating patellas, a genetic condition that causes pain and disability by affecting how the knees work. Unfortunately, as the shelter is small and operates on minimal funding, medical cases like this put dogs like Bentley at risk of euthanasia. Fortunately, we found a foster, whose own dog has recently gone through similar surgery on her knees, who has taken Bentley in so that he can have surgery and recuperate in a home and be adopted!

Unfortunately, this surgery is expensive, even with a rescue discount. So we are hoping the community will pull through and help us cover the costs so this good boy can be adopted into a loving home. Please contribute what you can, every bit helps!
