Support Berenice in Seeking Justice for Gerardo

Hello, my name is Berenice Chavez. I live in Dallas, Texas. I've never asked for money or looked for financial help in my life, but this time I need a grain of your help. My brother's name was Gerardo Chavez, he died on 07/25/24 in Mesquite, Texas. We are going through an injustice on the part of the police of Mesquite, Texas.

The night my brother died, police, firefighters, and paramedics arrived at the house where he died. They checked my brother's car, and he had cash around, approximately $40,000, since days before he sold a van for $20,000 cash. Apart from that, he had his savings that he couldn't put in the bank. That day, the detective of Mesquite Police confiscated the cash and his cell phones as evidence. They told me that when the autopsy came out, they were going to give me his money. They are abusing their power and are only giving me the amount of $596. The detective tells me that he left the money in the car, which is a lie. There are six witnesses who saw that the police of Mesquite, Texas, took the money. I had that money to pay for my brother's funeral expenses.
