Support Berkleigh and her Family

UPDATE:
It is with the heaviest of hearts I share that Berkleigh Layne was called home to be with her Father in heaven on Thursday, June 13. She was surrounded by the love of her family when she left this earth. Prayers of comfort and strength for Chris and Ashley are appreciated. This loss brings unimaginable pain and suffering just one year from the loss of their son, Lochlan.
**********
My great niece, Berkleigh Layne Kucharski, was born on Wednesday, May 29, at 1:26pm, weighing 6lbs 3oz. This is the fourth child for my nephew, Christopher, and his wife, Ashley. She joins her siblings Charlie, Holden, and Brecklyn.
Berkleigh was born with a rare condition called Heterotaxy Syndrome. In her case specifically, her heart is on the right, stomach is on the left, and she has no spleen. She also has a heart defect, which will require open heart surgery. Suffice it to say, Berkleigh has a long road ahead of her, but she has proven to be a fighter already!
Berkleigh is receiving care at Children’s Hospital in Denver. You can be sure she is getting a lot of attention in the CICU because of how stinking adorable she is!
As many of us can only begin to imagine, this ordeal is putting a lot of stress on the family emotionally and financially. Christopher has taken time off of work in order to care for Berkleigh’s siblings, so Ashley can spend as much time in the hospital as possible.
As a community of family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, acquaintances, even strangers, I would like us to come together to show our support for the Kucharski family. Together we can help cover medical bills and living expenses, including repair work needed on the car that Ashley uses to get to/from the hospital.
Anything you can give to assist the family during this time would be greatly appreciated.
